About Big Dipper Bill

A native New Yorker, “Big Dipper Bill” Schneider, an acclaimed former high school science teacher, college instructor and Field Supervisor of Science Student Teachers originated his company (ACE) Awesome Constellation Encounters while Stargazing under the beautiful clear skies of the Florida Keys. Having earned a Bachelors from the State University of New York at Stony Brook , and his Masters in Teaching at State University of New York at Cortland, he also spent considerable time at Cornell University , where the ultimate astronomer, Carl Sagan also taught.

As a Field Supervisor of Science Student Teachers, he was responsible for providing guidance to student teachers as they taught in the public schools.
Ultimately, it was his decision as to whether they were effective enough to be allowed to proceed further to become a public science school teacher.

“ Enthuse’m or Lose’m” was one of the main concepts
he constantly emphasized in their presentations.
This same philosophy runs rampant thru the night viewing of Bill’s own presentation of ‘Immortal Illuminations of Islands in the Sky.’

The show has been ongoing for over 2 years every week at the ultra-exclusive, private, 5 star, Little Palm Island Resort and Spa located in the beautiful Florida Keys (littlepalmisland.com) where it has entertained their guests.
